Please join me in congratulating Matt Schneider on his acceptance to and signing with Stanford University. Matt signed with Stanford to Wrestle. We all wish Matt the BEST as he moves to the West coast to continue his education and Wrestling career.
Matt we will miss you next season at Milton but know you will make us all proud in your future endeavors.

Milton 4th in Sawnee Duals -

On Saturday, December 12th, Milton competed in the Sawnee Duals at Forsyth Central High School. This tournatment is one of the top dual tournaments of the season, with some of the toughest competition. Our varsity Eagles faired well, capturing 4th place despite being shorthanded and having to forfeit several weightclasses.
Milton opened the tournament in a dominating fashion, dismantling Habersham Central 71-6 before dropping a match to region rival and powerhouse Pope High School by 43-21. The Eagles stormed back, defeating North Gwinnett 35-33 and Forsyth Central 39-24 to earn a birth in the 3rd/4th place cross-over match, where the Eagles dropped a close 31-28 match to North Forsth.
Going undefeated for the day were Phillip Anderson (112) and Matt Schneider (145) at 5-0 and Blake Roytek (130) at 4-0.

Milton splits with Wheeler and South Paulding -

On Wednesday, December 9th, Milton travelled to Wheeler High School to compete in a tri-meet with Wheeler and South Paulding High School. Despite again being shorthanded with 2 starter out of action, the Eagles dominated Wheeler 50-26 and came up just short in a close match with South Paulding.
Going 2-0 for the evening were Phillip Anderson (112), Chris Arnold (125), and Blake Roytek (130).

Milton Defeats Kell and Alpharetta -
12/3/2009
On Wednesday, December 2nd, Milton hosted Kell and Alpharetta in our first home meet of the season. Our varsity Eagles prevailed in both contests, beating Kell 45 - 31 and Alpharetta 62 - 18. It was the first time in our history that Milton has beaten traditional 5a powerhouse Kell.
Going undefeated at 2-0 for the evening was Phillip Anderson (2 pins), Tim Hewatt, Matt Gilkenson (2 pins), Matt Schneider, Eric Brovant, and Matt Mannino (2 pins). Schneider, Brovant, and Mannino remain undefeated for the season.

Milton places 5th to Open 2009-2010 Season at Hornet Duals -
11/24/2009
Our Varsity Eagles travelled to Roswell High School on Saturday, November 12 to compete in the Hornet Duals. Despite a very depleted line up with as many as six starters out of action while others wrestled up a weight class (and some even up two weight classes), Milton finished 3-2 to earn 5th place in the duals tournment. Milton began the tournament by defeating Morgan County 42-24. Next they blasted Forest Park 74-6 before dropping matches to rival Centennial 45-27 and Henry County 51-27. In the cross over match for 5th place, Milton bested Woodward Academy 38-36.
Going undefeated for the day for Milton were Matt Mannino at 215 (5-0 with 3 pins), Blake Roytek at 125/130(4-0 with a pin), and Eric Brovant at 152 (2-0).

October 31, Milton High School Main Gym - Youth, Open, Cadet and Junior Divisions (High School) are available; $15 per wrestler. For more info, click on the `Victory Will Be Mine` logo on the right side of our homepage. All weigh-ins are 6-8 PM, October 30th or 7-7:30 AM, October 31st. Mandatory Weight Assessment - Oct 17 -

October 17 - leave MHS promptly at 9 AM - Coach Bradach will drive an activity bus from MHS to Blessed Trinity for weigh ins. ALL High School Wrestlers MUST go through Weight Assessment to Wrestle. Please let Coach Bradach know if you will NOT be available on 10/17. There is currently no make up date for Weigh ins - You must go to weigh in with Coach so he will have to schedule a make up date.

Important Preseason Updates -

Insurance and Medical Physical Forms - Forms are Due NOW. Please get them to Coach Bradach ASAP. Keep a copy of your form for other sports, MHS does not have a central location for these forms. Football players forms will be pulled and copied so you are covered. Coach cannot allow you to participate any any activities without current forms. Accelerated Athlete - Pre-Season Conditioning has started - Meet T,W,Th 4-5:15 PM. All Wrestlers should secure their valuables in their school locker or vehicle prior to conditioning. No charge for MHS wrestlers. Nike Shoes - Are available for $35 and $50. See Coach Bradach for orders or more information. Make check out to Owens Sporting Goods. Purchasing Nike Shoes is not mandatory, this is a special offer that Coach is making available to all wrestlers.

Milton 4th at Area Duals -
1/12/2009
On Saturday, January 10th, our varsity Eagles travelled to Pope High School to compete in the Area Dual tournament, where the top 2 teams advance to the State Duals tournament in Macon next week.
The Eagles opened by dropping a close hard fought match to Kell 33-23. Milton then won two straight matches against Wheeler (60-12) and Walton (39-28), thereby advancing to the consolidation finals where they would meet up with Kell again. The Eagles fell short by a razor thin 32-30 margin.
The Eagles were led by Matt Schneider, Tim Hewatt, and Brandon Ryan, who all went 4-0 for the tournament.

Milton third at Riverwood; Schneider, Castanaro and Hewatt Gold -

On Friday and Saturday, December 19th and 20th our varsity Eagles travelled to Riverwood High School to compete in our first traditional tournament of the 2008-2009 season. The Eagles performed admirably, securing a solid three place finish dispite being without two varsity starters, and having two other starters wrestling up a weight class.
Milton captured three first place medals. Junior Matt Schneider continued his undefeated season by capturing gold in the 145 pound class with a solid 6-1 win over West Forsyth`s Tyler Everton, who is currently ranked number 1 in class 3A by Georgia National Wrestling Alliance. Tim Hewatt captured first in a come from behind victory over West Forsth`s Rob Kudela in the 112 pound final. Mike Castanaro won first in the 119 pound class by besting region rival Cole Forrester of Centennial.
Other Milton placers included Aaron Martin, who won a silver medal in the 189 pound class and Eric Brovant (160), Chris Huckeba (215) and George Anagnastou (135) who captured fourth place in their respective weights.

Varsity Eagles off to a Fast Start -

Our varsity Eagles have begun the 2008-2009 campaign with a 4-1 dual record. After dropping their opener 34-32 to perennial powerhouse Kell, who placed fourth in state last year, the Eagles grew in confidence. From there, the Eagles reeled off four straight wins, including the first win in nearly a decade over rival Centennial 34-30. Centennial has historically been one of the most powerful dual teams in the state. The other dual wins were 64-8 over Roswell, 84 - -2 over Campbell, and 46-12 over Northview.
Pacing the Eagle effort were Matt Schneider (5-0), Michael Gilkenson (5-0), and Eric Brovant (5-0), and Chris Arnold (4-0).
Please come out and support our Varsity Eagles on Senior night this Wednesday, December 10 against Wheeler at Milton High School.
